Multicloud Defense
Cloud-native network security across every cloud, from one controller.
Cisco Multicloud Defense delivers cloud-native network security across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI from a single controller — deploying scalable ingress, egress, and east-west gateways to protect multicloud traffic consistently. It embraces the reality of multicloud with one policy model and automated, elastic enforcement. Faltrox designs the architecture, deploys the gateways, and operates it as managed multicloud network defence.
Overview
What Multicloud Defense is
Securing multicloud is hard because each cloud has its own native controls, and stitching them into consistent policy is error-prone. Cisco Multicloud Defense solves that with a cloud-native architecture: a central Multicloud Defense Controller manages policy and orchestrates highly scalable gateways deployed across clouds, so network security is consistent regardless of provider.
The gateways handle ingress protection, egress control (including data-loss and outbound-threat prevention), and east-west segmentation, scaling elastically with cloud workloads. Managed from one console with a single policy model, it reduces the attack surface, prevents lateral movement, and gives visibility into multicloud traffic — without the operational drag of per-cloud native firewalls. Faltrox designs the gateway architecture, deploys and automates it, and operates it as managed multicloud defence.

The platforms, threats, and surfaces this product is built to defend.
AWS, Azure, GCP & OCI
Consistent cloud-native network security across every major cloud provider.
Ingress Protection
Scalable ingress gateways protect inbound traffic to cloud applications.
Egress Control
Egress gateways prevent outbound threats and data loss from cloud workloads.
East-West Segmentation
Segments traffic between workloads to contain lateral movement in the cloud.
Elastic Scale
Gateways scale elastically with cloud workloads rather than fixed appliances.
Single Controller
One controller and policy model across all clouds from a single console.
How it works
The mechanism
How the product moves from signal to protected state, step by step.
- 01
Discover
The Multicloud Defense Controller connects to your cloud accounts and builds visibility into workloads and traffic.
- 02
Deploy
It orchestrates highly scalable ingress, egress, and east-west gateways across the clouds automatically.
- 03
Enforce
One consistent policy model applies inbound protection, egress control, and segmentation across every cloud.
- 04

Capabilities
Key capabilities
Central Controller
The Multicloud Defense Controller manages policy and orchestrates gateways across all clouds from one console.
Scalable Gateways
Highly scalable ingress and egress gateways deploy natively into each cloud.
Ingress Protection
Protects inbound traffic to cloud applications with cloud-native firewalling and threat prevention.
Egress Control
Egress gateways prevent outbound threats and data exfiltration from cloud workloads.
East-West Segmentation
Segments workload-to-workload traffic to contain lateral movement inside the cloud.
Elastic Scaling
Security scales automatically with cloud workloads rather than being constrained by fixed appliances.
Single Policy Model
One consistent policy model spans every cloud, eliminating per-cloud native-control drift.
Automated Deployment
Infrastructure-as-code automation deploys and manages gateways at cloud speed.

Managed by Faltrox
Faltrox licenses, deploys, and tunes Cisco Multicloud Defense for your environment, then runs it as part of a managed service, so you get the protection without staffing another security console.
FAQ
Common questions
01Why not just use each cloud’s native firewall?
Native controls differ per cloud, so stitching them into consistent policy is complex and error-prone. Multicloud Defense applies one policy model across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI from a single controller, so security is consistent regardless of provider — removing the per-cloud drift that creates gaps.
02What does it actually protect?
Inbound (ingress) traffic to cloud apps, outbound (egress) traffic for data-loss and outbound-threat prevention, and east-west traffic between workloads for segmentation and lateral-movement containment — the full set of cloud network security use cases.
03Does it scale with our cloud workloads?
Yes — the gateways scale elastically with workload demand rather than being fixed-capacity appliances, so security keeps pace with cloud auto-scaling instead of becoming a bottleneck.
04How does it relate to Secure Workload?
Multicloud Defense secures network traffic in and between clouds (gateways and segmentation at the network layer); Secure Workload provides microsegmentation at the workload layer. They are complementary, and Faltrox designs them together for defence in depth.
05How does Faltrox operate it?
We design the gateway architecture and policy, automate deployment across your clouds, and monitor multicloud traffic and threats — delivering consistent, managed cloud network security across your entire multicloud estate.
