    What Microsoft Entra ID is

    02What is conditional access?

    It is the policy engine that evaluates each access attempt against signals — user, device, location, and risk — and decides to allow, step up authentication, or block. It is how Entra ID enforces Zero Trust least-privilege access rather than granting access on a password alone.
